Account Types and Organization Onboarding

How account roles work across SplitFair, including Brands, Creators, Agencies, and Collaborators.

Summary

SplitFair supports four primary account roles: Brands, Creators, Agencies, and Collaborators. Each role has distinct permissions, workspace dashboards, and contractual capabilities.

Account Roles and Capabilities

Your organization context determines what actions you can take across the platform:

  • Brands: Companies and marketing teams that hire creators for campaigns, fund escrow vaults, review deliverables, and purchase digital goods.
  • Creators: Individuals and production teams who offer campaign work, publish digital assets, sell licenses, and invite collaborators to revenue splits.
  • Agencies: Talent agencies, management firms, and labels that represent creators under formal digital representation agreements with custom commission splits.
  • Collaborators: Co-creators, producers, videographers, or contributors who receive invitations to participate in campaign or asset revenue splits.

KYB and Identity Verification

Before an organization can fund campaigns or receive payouts, it must complete automated Know Your Business (KYB) verification through our identity partner, Didit. This requires uploading your certificate of incorporation, business registration details, and a valid national ID or passport for your designated representative.

Dedicated Organization Workspaces

Your account is bound to the organization type selected during registration (either a Brand or an Agency). When you log in, SplitFair routes you directly to your organization's dedicated workspace.

Important Rules

Identity verification usually completes within minutes. If manual compliance review is needed, our team processes documents within 24 business hours.

Common Questions

Can an account operate as both a Brand and an Agency?

No. Accounts are bound to a single organization type chosen during registration. A Brand account exclusively manages campaign hiring and deliverable reviews, while an Agency account manages talent rosters and client representation.

Can a creator also participate as a collaborator on other projects?

Yes. When you receive a collaborator invitation, you can accept splits on that specific project while maintaining your main creator profile.
